Phoenix has a story of resilience that is truly inspiring. Born to his mother Snow in the most unfortunate of circumstances, Phoenix's future looked bleak from the start. Tagged as "meat" and destined for a life of suffering, Phoenix and his mother were rescued from their fate when he was just six weeks old.
When Phoenix arrived, he was weak and helpless, lying down in the trailer at his mother's feet. His deformed legs were a cause for concern, but we refused to give up on him. With the help of corrective engineer Brian Hyodo and farrier Tod Rego, Phoenix began his journey towards recovery and healing from Carpus Valgus without surgery. Overcoming the odds, he slowly but surely regained his strength and started to thrive. Phoenix's story is a testament to the power of love and compassion. Despite his rough start in life, he has become a symbol of hope and perseverance. Today, Phoenix spends his days in the peaceful surroundings of The Sanctuary, playing with his best friend and uncle Leo in the pasture. He has come so far in his journey, and his transformation is nothing short of miraculous. With his gentle spirit and kind heart, Phoenix has won over the hearts of all who have had the pleasure of meeting him. His story is a reminder that no matter how difficult life may seem, there is always hope for a brighter future |
